What ebike did you buy? Maybe someone can match a helmet to your style.

ABUS Pedelec 2.0. It is a fantastic helmet with an integrated rain cover for when you need it and a small USB charged light and was designed with e-bikes in mind.

1. Try on different helmets because helmets fit different heads differently.
2. Then look for your price range.

Or swap 1and 2

That's an 800 pound gorilla bike! You can wear any helmet you want with that.

Fit and ventilation are the most important points for me in a cycling helmet. Of the helmets that I own, my Kask Mojito is the most comfortable to wear all year round. It fits _my_ head very well, to the point that I don't really notice it after a few minutes into the ride.

Unfortunately, a helmet that's great for one person may be very uncomfortable for another, just like bike saddles.

E bike? The significant difference would be the actual pedal effort. The more a rider depends on the electric motor, the less the human effort that translates to increases (or decreases) to body temperature.

Helmets provide a safety thing but it also has a cooling effect to allow ventilation to the head and thus the brain (central nervous system).

I would think that E bike riders would tend to flip the switch when the effort becomes strenuous during a ride. Its human nature, having fun without the sweat.

Thus ventilation takes a back seat to the other things when choosing a helmet. When looking at the high priced helmets, its invariably about ventilation and proper fit on various types of heads.

I have to say, I tried on a Mojito last year and it was super comfortable. Even standing in the store wearing it for a couple of minutes I barely realized I had it on. Didn't pull the trigger because I am trying to get a few more years out of my current one. I have no doubt it will be my next helmet.

In any event, you are 100% correct about helmets being a personal fit thing.

Go to a decent bike shop and ask them to recommend something. I just did that and they accomplished in 3 minutes what would have taken me an hour to figure out.
