Denver Wind
Is the wind always this bad this time of year? It seams to me we are having more windy days than in the last few years. Thoughts?

I agree, this spring and last spring both seemed windy to me compared with previous years. But we've also had fewer snow days and as they say, "hills make you strong, wind makes you mean", so I'll take it.

I'd say pretty typical in number, but more days with cold winds.

Embrace the wind. I had a pal visit once, and he asked if it was always windy here, and I had to think.... I guess it is.

I've always thought, "The wind is the one thing I don't like about Colorado.". This year as I've monitored "AirNow" I've come to realize it blows away our pollution and thus protects my lungs on my commute.

I grew up in Northglenn in the 1960s. If you do not remember a few days of 100 mph winds coming down through the canyons in Boulder, then the winds are not too bad.

I agree that it feels like we are getting more wind. It felt like to me that we would get a lot of wind in the spring and fall, but this winter has been a lot windier than I remember.

January always has the highest wind speeds followed by April. March actually dips down quite a bit in between those maximums.

So--what are we thinking tomorrow's weather holds? I'm thinking of commuting anyway, it'll probably just be rainy, and the snow is supposed to start around 5pm, so I figure go for it! Other Denver-area friends' thoughts?
