I did a little more work on the Sirrus this afternoon. I'll post some pics of the final product in a couple of days.
Yesterday I installed brake pads, adjusted the brake cables and trued the rear wheel on my Supercourse.
EDIT: I just found out that the weather this Sunday is supposed to be mostly sunny and 57 degrees!
Needless to say, I'll be taking the Sirrus out for her maiden post-modded voyage. 
Can't wait!
- Did the final setup on the brakes

- Adjusted the rear derailleur

Yeah, I like the old 26ers myself but my era is the 90s because thats what I rode also.
Coincidentally Im currently working on a 99 Cannondale for the wife with SLX brakes and cranks, XT hubs and 717 rims. I am using Jagwire hydraulic hose adaptors for the top tube https://www.jensonusa.com/Jagwire-Cable-Grip. I still haven't figured out the seatstay portion yet.
I just did my rig with XT M8000 and honestly SLX M7000 looks nicer

I added a rack to my Redline Zander MTB to make it more usable for me as a "trip" bike (being able to carry food, water, clothes, daughter's inhaler, etc). I have set my Roam up as more of a road/path bike with fenders and Schwalbe commuter tires, and this Zander is for taking out in the woods on trails and creeks, etc. But I still want to be able to carry all my kit with me comfortably. So I needed a rack.
The frame has no rack mounts on the seat stays, so I used a seat post collar designed for mounting a rack. I also found some rack struts in a parts bin and cut them to the appropriate length. It works great and, because I have a Topeak MTX rack on both my Roam and my Zander, the bag and light go with me regardless of the bike I'm on that trip.

After a few do it yourself Youtube video's, I have re packed the bearings in the wheels of my Crosstrail. The grease in them were really nasty looking. Planning on doing this annually rather than once every 4 years.

Happy to help @ badger1. As you can see, from the other side 12 paces away, they are only moderately noticeable:
@ travbikeman, thank you. The F series always looked great to me. At the time I was on skinny steel hardtails and thought the jacked up front looked weird. Nowadays it doesn't look too out of place. I always wanted an air Headshok and am happy to build this for my wonderful wife.
Tried to set it up over the weekend but I couldn't find the rotors. Put new wheels and fat squishy semi-smooth tires for the streets. My main goal is a smooth, lightweight city and rural trail ride. Still not set on the handlebar but everything else is. I want to finish it up soon even though the Wife won't ride it until it warms up because I want to get another project started.

We took our sadly neglected Giant FastRoads out for a spin on the Gainesville Hawthorne State Trail yesterday. It's only the second time they have been out to play since we purchased our new Canyon RoadLites.

Hi all.. Well, the thing that I did for my hybrid today was testing the carrying strength of an old Blackburn rack 
The cargo made it home w/o incident.. Nice day - about 38 degrees F, and no wind!

Alright, got my bike put back together and ready for the riding season. Took the bike out for a 15 mile test ride today on the C&O and am very happy with the upgrades.
1. Had the RockShox Paragon installed at LBS, I don't have the tools and was actually cheaper to have them do it. I'm going to make a new post about this compared to the NEX
2. Installed the new Alivio shifters and they are nice. I like the way you can up shift by pressing the lever either way. They feel better than my Acera shifters I had. Worth the $38.
3. This bike rides so much easier now that I repacked the wheel bearings. Did not realize how little grease was left in the hubs until I opened them up. Worth the work!
4. First time riding the Selle Italia saddle on a trail. Only tested prior on the trainer. Nice to finally have a comfortable saddle that I don't have issues after a few miles.
5. New SRAM chain...it looks too shiny at moment.
BRING ON SPRING!!!!!! I'm ready for many many miles of trail riding this year to make up for all I missed last year!

Installed some new Raceface Evolve handlebars. I did the work myself 
. It’s the first time I’ve done my own work. Feels pretty good. I have some new grips on order (Ergonomic GP1s). I’m still adjusting the position of the controls.
Also, new rack and bag, new top tube bag and new mirror.
