Dawes Galaxy? Value?

Dawes Galaxy? Value?
This popped up on Craigslist and I am going to look at it today

It's obviously not all original, and the paint appears to be resprayed, however there is a bike shop sticker but no visible tube identification. From what I have read the Galaxy was 531 so it seems strange. Based on research the Galaxy debuted in 1971 and the headbadge puts it in the same decade so the date would be off, but I have purchased from this seller previously and he doesnt strike me as a dishonest person. Perhaps a simple mistake.
So my question is: is the frame what it claims to be and close-ish to the year and is $135 reasonable? I am in Seattle so the market here is decent.
Anyway, thank you for reading. Any info is appreciated.

No expert as to the frame, other than I can see the rear dropouts are stamped. Check the seat tube diameter, which will give you a clue as to the tubing. In any case, the price seems very reasonable for a non-531 bike in our market.

Dawes Galaxy of that era has 531 plain gauge tubing; it should take a 26.4 mm post. It was their equivalent of the Raleigh Super Course. Someone has already replaced the steel cottered crankset and the Delrin Simplex Prestige derailleur ensemble for you. That looks like a pretty good deal to me.

Overall the bike looks rather uninspiring to me. However, it has some bonuses like a Brooks seat, I think.
Overall the price isn't bad for that bike.

I think your bike has front end damage. Not real bad, but that could certainly affect its value.
Still, for the bike, it isn't a bad price, and should be rideable, as long as everything is reasonably straight.

I did and it's pretty rad! The saddle is in rough shape so he threw in a set of 27" aluminum wheels. I can use these since i come across a lot of frames designed for that size.
Also, there isnt any damage to the front. The paint is a brown metallic and there is a a blemish to the lug so the photo gives the illusion. Its actually really clean. $135 was a good deal even without the extra wheels. Thanks to everyone for the replies.

That's a mighty fine Dawes, I had a blast getting it to where it is now this is what it looked like before all the Seattle snow. Thought it was black spray painted but it was tape. Here is the before shot.

I have a white saddle if the Brooks is to tattered (I may have Swiss bb for the Peugeot also but I haven't
inspected it yet, it's not for sale but it's yours if it's good. I want to the white forked one to roll, I enjoyed meeting the disco master.

I paid $149.95 for mine in 1974 - paper route dollars!
In the process of collecting original parts to restore.
531 plain gauge main triangle.
The 1975 version had painted rear triangle.
Weinmann dimpled 27" rims,
Stronglight steel cottered crank,
Normandy hubs.
Simplex derailleurs and a Wrights saddle.
There were a couple of bars which came on the bike.
The ones shown are the more desirable(IMO) fully engraved design.
