Oh hey,

Some small indication of the wind going on right now, which is about 7mph from every direction at once. In other news and unrelated to the topic at hand, that wind does make for some vistas.

Which would be my assignment, if my submission is satisfactory: that's the kind of picture the city council would put on the brochure to try to get more people to move here or buy things here. So show me something that would be in the travel brochure, even if it's a lie. That pic makes it look like I live someplace fancy... which I don't.

Your submission IS satisfactory, the torch is passed.

Also, I'm all confused as to whose mission this is I guess. I thought it was: bpcyclist's mission. He had his bike in the pic of a waterfall and posted the mission. Unless my eyeballs deceive me. But I read his mission like many of you where it sounds like a pro sports park or arena, and possibly even the offices of one.

Speaking of Hockenheim, I lived about 7kms away (in Reilingen) and when the Formula 1 cars were racing, it sounded like the buzzing of a zillion angry bees, close up it was almost painful - Intense!

The first two pictures are of a bicycle parking area on F1 race day.

The rest are from the day part of the track was used for bicycle races for awhile and was also open for any bicyclist to ride the circuit for pleasure.

That's the home field of the Inland Empire 66ers, minor league affiliate of the California Angels.

But the history of the name is an absolute blast:

The 66ers began when the Salinas Spurs moved to San Bernardino and bought the name of the San Bernardino Spirit from the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes who had just left town.
The team originally played at Fiscalini Field until 1996 when the team moved to San Bernardino Stadium, nicknamed "The Ranch" in concert with the team's new name, the San Bernardino Stampede.
The team name was later changed to the team's current name, the Inland Empire 66ers, taken from the historic U. S. Route 66.

That first sentence is an absolute roller coaster ride. So the Spirit moved to Rancho and became the Quakes, and the Spurs moved to SB to become the "new" Spirit, then the Stampede, and now the 66ers.
Back in the early 90s in the Fiscalini Field days, the Spirit was the minor league affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. I watched many a games played by a very young Ken Griffey Jr. in that park.

Good eyes.

Next mission if my pic is accepted.

Since 20s is rolling around again, circa 1920 theater (which I’ll define as anything pre WWII.)

Extra points for a well preserved facade and marquis.

Examples, Paramount:

Rode over this afternoon to the oldest theater we've got, the c.1928 Fox Theater, which is now apparently a venue for special events... like the nuptials of Anthony & Kate, whose guests simply would not stop showing up. I lapped the block for about 25 minutes waiting for a clear moment, and it never came. I managed to get home just as the last available light faded away. So best wishes to the (by now) newlyweds, but I wasn't gonna shoulder into the crowd like a weirdo to take a picture of my bicycle in the middle of a wedding. C'est la vie.

Looks exactly like this, only with lots of fancy dressed people milling about.

I vividly remember my father, wholly unsuited to being a parent, taking me to a double-feature at the Fox: Outland, starring Sean Connery as a space sheriff, and Wolfen, with Albert Finney as an NYPD detective trying to catch a murderous werewolf.
Both of these films were R-rated, with a hard R. The year was 1981. I was 8.

Capital Theater, Burlington, Iowa, opened in 1937. Picture taken this morning, management is a little slow to change the marquee, for the various events that are presented in the upgraded theater.

Thank you, mr_bill. The next mission is a current picture of a photogenic bridge over a body of water, your bicycle can be on, under, in the foreground or somewhere nearby. The bridge can be a classic beauty like the Brooklyn or Golden Gate Bridge, or a local favorite. This an example of an acceptable entry, taken 15 years ago of the local bridge over the Mississippi River.

Sounds like a good one. This would be my submission but it is a non-entry because it is a 4 year old photo of my Philadelphia Tuna Hoagie bought and eaten at an outside table alongside the 9th Street Italian Market. Real urban eating, well worth the ride downtown to get.

Chick fil a seems legit to me. Although I guess we can wait for confirmation from the mission asker.

I personally like the new mission, if it's approved by Bryan C.

The view of the trees was pretty darned nice from my perspective. Looks like a beautiful area.

Nice bike too. Looks like a mule.

Too many rules ruin a good time. I think the pic is just fine in my book. For me the game missions are up to the player to have fun with rather than be strictly limited by it's literal interpretation.

That said, I'm confused as to what the next mission would be.
