Hussefelt bars and stem
Here's a rebuild of this vintage Team Miyata Ridge Runner, outfitted with Deore DX and roller cam brakes in a red, white and blue scheme with a bit of yellow. Rides well in the city street, has become my cruiser bike. Last two photos showed swap of handlebars from Sakae MTS and MTB to some classy Hussefelt bars and stem.

First post.......pic soon hopefully (gotta post ten times)
I plucked a 1996 Schwinn Clear Creek out of the recycle center last weekend. Already put about $150 in it ...tires (Kenda city slicks 20x1.95), tubes, seat. tire tools, and counting. everything worked fine, except the seat was gone. I slipped one of my work boots over the seat post and took her for a spin. Smooth brakes shifting, rolling.

I have yet to post my girlfriend’s ‘87 Raleigh Elkhorn on here. I picked it up for her a year and a half ago and rebuilt it, replacing the handlebars because she didn’t like how wide the risers were. She doesn’t ride it very often, but she joined me for a quick ride this morning. Here it is with my ‘87 Schwinn Mirada klunker/ss build— plus a couple more:

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

Just landed this Panasonic ATB! It was definitely worth the 3 hour round trip this evening. It looks like it was barely ridden and stored inside for a long time.

Late 80's (?) Schwinn High Sierra. Frame made in Japan. Was worse than a barn find because it had been left to the elements for years by the original owner. Salvaged the frame which was acid dipped and powder coated. Nice riding as a path bike and MTB backup.

One a day (for two days). Late 80's (?) Diamondback Axis, also with the acid dip, powdercoat regimen. "Adorned" with a 6 year old 1000w motor and 52V battery (so more like 1500w) for a 33-35 mph cruise.

I hate to be "that guy," but I believe all of the High Sierra's were TIG welded by Giant in Taiwan. What is the location of the serial number on this and what is it? If it is not on the bottom bracket, check at the bottom of the front of the head tube. Was there a headbadge? Was a number on there?

I know its a little to new but i just picked this up for cheap at a local thrift store a 2000 Mongoose Pro DX 10.5. with a Titanium frame and a pretty decent groupset. Deore/LX/XT

^^^^^ Except for the threadless steering, it's pretty solidly C&V, design-wise. It'll be drinking age next year. Remember, when the C&V section got its start in the mid '00s, mid-'80s bikes weren't considered "too new". Besides, rescuing titanium from a thrift store is considered a community service.
