Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That’s what we did. Got ride of the 1/2 acre, septic, trees, stairs, etc. It’s now 20’ to mow and the same to trim, blow, etc. and I do it at a leisurely pace.

My Fitness/Freshness slave-driver said that I needed to stop lollygagging, so I took my recovery loop at a NOT recovery pace. The result was the highest NP that I've had on a ride, so I got that goin' fer me, which is nice.

Oh, and not that I want Vol to nod his head and say, "I told you so," but it was a brisk 52°, which meant thermal knickers, a thermal LS jersey and gloves.

It seems someone might need to re-evaluate current FTP settings

Appraisal on the house just came back okay. That was the last condition on closing. Should have clear to close from the bank this week and close on 8/26.

It’s amazing that a 30 year mortgage has a lower interest rate than the last new car I bought.

I was a little surprised that it didn't change my eFTP (?) automatically, but figured it might have been because I didn't hit an hour with the activity or because of some weird maths were I didn't hit X power over a specific duration; I think that the last time it reset my eFTP was when I had a 10min best.

Indeed, you are. Do you know what you're transitioning to?

The F/F is pretty interesting, but it sure isn't gospel. My Wed Night Ride last week wrecked me for days and F/F was tellin' me to GO GO GO before I was ready. Prolly the different stress types - I'd been doing lots of sub/threshold-ish stuff, but the WNR was punchy as all get-out. It felt great, but the legs and diaphragm needed some R&R.

Doesn't the idea of beating yourself up based on math that you don't understand sound fun? You should totally get a PM next.

That's what I am thinking. Only concern is that means we will be much closer to our neighbors. Which we can't necessarily choose.
