PPL-1 and PPL-2 are the same,1 is a tube, 2 is a tub.
Buckle up, grease is a highly controversial topic around here.

I have an old grease gun refill that is dipped into for threads and other junk but bearings and other rolling parts get Park grease. PPL-1 is in a tube and PPL-2 is a tub both contain Poly Lube 1000

My preference is cheap, so I use marine grease and I haven't found it to be lacking.
I would like to try out 'Green Oil' brand Ecogrease at some point, it doesn't use PTFE or petroleum-based ingredients. Costly product, but as an environmentalist I feels it's prudent to change where I can.

Red 'N' Tacky grease from Lucas Oil from Home Depot. This is my go-to grease for bikes, cars, and everything. Best grease to repack ball bearings. Economical and effective.

However, try ballistol. Get the 1kg tin, it is really good grease and no ptfe.£15 for a kg.Try the oil, wonderful, actually good for your skin.“Ballistol univeral multi-purpose grease is stable in a temperature range from -30° C to +120° C and is also characterized by a very good water resistance. Ballistol, providing reliable long-term lubrication and good sealing properties and easy pumpability in central lubrication systems.
Ballistol Multi-purpose grease is resistant in wet and dusty environments as well as in cold and hot water. In combination with its good adhesion and oxidation resistance it also protects in such problematic areas safe from corrosion.
Ballistol Multi-purpose grease reduces the friction and wear of all moving parts and has a high load carrying capacity. Ballistol is also aging resistant and drum stable and resistant to dust and water. The multi-purpose grease is silicone-free, resin-free and acid-free and therefore it does not resinify”.

As a member of the cycling community, you have an obligation to support the industry by buying overpriced specialty "bicycle" grease, instead of just buying a big tub of marine grease, Lucas Red 'N' Tacky, or just about any generic waterproof wheel bearing grease.

What the…? You mean I don’t have to lube my Dura Ace bits with Dura Ace Special Grease? Next I suppose you’re going to tell me I can put Quaker State in my Buick.

Yeah Park grease is overpriced but it looks nice next to all my overpriced Park tools and Park stand. Sort of like a bike gruppo, right?

big fan of Lucas red for car and bike. Although a bit ago I found this military can of Vietnam war era grease so that's what I am currently using.
The most important thing about grease is not what brand you use but that you actually repack it on a regular basis. The best grease in the world that you leave on the bottom bracket for twenty years can't compete with the cheapest grease in the world that you repack every year.

At the risk of dumping butter on the popcorn, I believe that Park Poly and Lucas X-tra heavy duty is the same. Maybe it's slightly tweaked so the people at Park can say it's bicycle specific and still sleep at night. C'mon man, it's only grease.

Okay, yeah, just checked. I bought the tub in 2017 for $15.28, now it's over $28.
I used to get Phil grease, but they are really proud of the stuff nowadays.
It's just a lithium grease. Not good for keeping a seatpost from getting stuck.

I stick to phil's a tube last a long time.
and in general grease and lubricants are cheap for volume used. I don't understand all the people who are trying to save pennies on non bike specific grease and lube. I have never had a bike use quarts of grease and change lube
