F. Moser Info and Value

Hoping to get some info on this
F. Moser frameset.

Main questions is frameset quality and value.

Seller claims its NOS but I doubt it because of paint blemishes, slight yellowing on rear dropouts and top tube cable guide minor rust spots.

Im thinking display piece on store front.

Thanks in advance.

Beautiful frameset!
Maybe from the very late 80's/early 90's?
Aelle tubing limits its value a bit, but knowledgable cyclists will know it will most likely ride just as good as a frame made with SL tubing.
frameset might be worth at least 250 bucks to the right buyer looking for a really nice looking Moser. Which would be bargain, as it will build up to an impressive classic steel bike.

Tubing sticker says "Junior" so I guess this is a Junior frame?

^ I was wondering the same thing. I've never owned one but I suspect Moser is an underrated maker

Odd it says junior. Maybe 650c? A Guerc frame that was for sale locally is. But yes smaller. 48cm.

I have a slightly older Moser in Columbus SL that is a really nice rider. I think $450 is a little high and agree with $250-300 as more realistic.

I believe "Junior" is actually the model name, used to describe its position at the bottom of the line. The description on the decal translates as "special frame construction" with no mention of butting, which would be consistent with the Columbus Aelle decal and would make it lower mid-range at best. The chromed chain stay and front derailleur tab are nice features at this level but it's obviously not NOS and the $450 asking price is more than twice what I'd be willing to pay.

Hi T-Mar, I thought I'd resurrect this thread since I am wondering if you have any idea about this tubeset. Seems to be a tough one to crack.

It's a bike I'm considering buying for $500 incl. shipping, pending whether or not I can glean if it's SL or not.
Anything lower than that tubing, for instance Aelle, I'll probably pass. And it has full campy fit out and engravings for 51.151 world record engravings on forks etc. so it's pretty nice, and in my market (toronto) the price of bikes is typically higher than other places, and it's especially pronounced right now since there's a significant bike shortage.

Anyway, the sticker is the same as the OP's (I'm pretty sure, but hard to confirm with the resolution of pic provided) - any idea what tubes? Thanks in advance, you're a legend.

EDIT:
Owner has sent following pic. Different decal. I will start a new thread.

The first Moser brand bikes I saw used a stencil to mask the downtube graphics, bikes looked very purposeful.
