I wonder what the listing fee is for an item that starts at $10K and there is no hope in hey to sell...

Lots of crazy stuff going on out there as the summer riding season gets underway!
Just like the auction for a Peugeot 100 year commemorative aero bike going for $1025.00.....
Imagine a Carbolite framed Puggy going for over a grand??!!
What, possibly pass up an SLX framed bike for the "super special" Peugeot??
What's he smokin??!!
There's also a NOS Mavic 451 brakset being sold for crazy money. I can just shake my head in disbelief when I saw the starting price....must be the original box included in the deal.....

None of these are as outlandish as the take off set of gold simplex retros, slj front and rear that went for $100 last month.

A few days ago someone posted a 1980's , bottom of the line, made in China or Taiwan, Schwinn Caliente ladies pink el basico 10 speed road bike. Asking price :$495.00. It was pictured brand new, out of the box. Worth $75 to me. However......

What happens when some joker makes a fake account and presses the BIN button? There will be a fee, all right...

I know this is from CL and not eBay, but it cracked me up: "the frame is 15inch and fits anyone from 5ft - 6ft easy".

A ebay seller has been listing a "Soviet" Masi 3V for $5000. for some time, I think he is on his third 30 day listing. These guys must feel the strategy is a good one.

There are listing fees (about $1.50 for those brakes) whether an item sells or not, but the bigger fees are the final value fees when an item sells. They vary depending on selling price & type of auction. "Buy-it-now" is more expensive than a regular auction.
