F. Moser - SAVE ME FROM MYSELF!!!
I found an 80’s Moser that from the terrible non-driveside photos looks to be in good shape, for $100!!!!
I contacted the seller and it’s still available, but I can’t get it today due to the holiday, or tomorrow because we are having a sliding door installed. So, someone, ANYONE, please get it before I do! It’s located in Carlsbad, CA and it’s on OfferUp, for $100! Link below.

It looks like it may be a 56cm, a little too small for me. I’m hoping another BF member gets it, because when I see deals like this I just can’t help myself! Even if it isn’t my size. I would love to facilitate it, but like I said, the next two days are booked for me.

I think you have come to the fuel depot asking for help in putting out your fire I keep telling myself to stop looking at CL and FB marketplace. Some days that even works....and some days I can't resist an early 90s Rock Hopper for $65 with full deore LX. Sigh

You and me both buddy. I figure there are a lot of old MTBs that need rescuing.

I couldn’t help myself....
So, this thing just sat on the market for an entire week, teasing me, so, to the chagrin of my wife, I had to get it!
It looks to be a lower-end Moser, but still a very nice bike! Columbus Aelle tubing, Gipiemme brakes, crank, and hubs, Campy (980?) deraillers and shifters. But, lots of pantographed bits! all lugs, fork crown, brake bridge, seatstay caps, BB, stem, and chainrings. It also has chromed forks and driveside chainstay Which I think will polish up nicely. This looks like it’s going to be a great project!

I see we have successfully brought you to the Dark Side, Chico. Search your feelings, you know N + 1 = N to be true.
The before-and-after pictures are simply night and day.
I have to ask - do you think the mid-V rims and hubs are original? They almost blend into the white fade. Love the look against the skinwalls too.

Haha! Thanks for the kind words, Kurt!
You can ask my wife, I’ve definitely been seduced by the dark side!
I too love the way the rims look with the skinwalls. As for their originality, I do not know for sure. However, based on brake pad wear, the bike appears to have very few miles on it, and the hubs are original, so I’m guessing the rims are original too.

That cleaned up great. My size, and no doubt it rides very nicely, but it isn't a British bike. (may be the only time you hear someone say that).
