1 hour of cyclo cross riding today. After a warmup did some short steep hills then 4 x 1 lap intervals at LTHR. Interestingly the difference between the fastest lap and slowest lap was only 8 seconds for the nearly 9 minute laps.

2 hours in rainy conditions on Wednesday. Of course, the rain let up and there was a bit of sun just as I finished my ride This is a fairly intense training week, so tired for the first half.

finally no rain... opps what the heck? FOG? lord I wish the weather man would make up his mind. 52 deg. Foggy. nice ride otherwise. fog is pretty in high beam of helmet light as each droplet stands out as it passes by. :-)

Maybe the last ride on the roadbike this season. Still frost on the tarmac several places at 5 pm so studs will go on the CX bike this weekend.

Don't mince words
We road every day last week, from Monday through Sunday, for about 414 miles. I've never ridden so many miles in a week in my life. They were amazing miles, too.
Today we took a 31 mile ride in gentle rain, with Wolfpack, who's visiting from N.C. After 3 days off riding felt great.

Today, I was up at 4:30 am and on my Stratus XP at 5:25, headed to work. I rode my bike to work four out of five days this week, a good start to my commuting. Hopefully, I'll still have legs for tomorrow's 200k.

Missed riding the past few days due to rain. Weather forecast calls for nice days coming this weekend and I am wishing I could ride few miles before I retire the bikes for the winter. OTOH, I might try winter cycling as long as no snow or ice on the ground.

Did a nice 50+ solo yesterday. Had a couple of others lined up to ride, but on backed out wed night and the other showed up at 7:30am to say she was sick. So off I went alone. See it here.

Looking forward to this weekend. Fall is finally arriving, and temps will drop below 80 and 90. Humidity will drop too. The really good riding weather is almost here!

Rain has made me go to the elliptical while watching the tube, very uncool and not looking forward to winter. I suppose riding in the winter on weekends is my only hope of miles on a bike but the cold is not my friend.
I have thought about rollers but still undecided about them.

a good ride is one where you are ON the bike... trainers... sheesh...
anyhoo got out today on time and can not recall seeing so many people out walking in the dark. wow lost count at about a dozen. not to mention all the dogs. it's really great that people are getting out early. this is 5:30-6:30 am time frame early.
pitch black. some had lights, some didn't. one in particular really needs to get on the program with lights. nearly ran into her before I saw the reflective piping on her jacket sleeve. really people decorative piping is not enough to be seen by.
nice balmy 56 deg. since I ride all the residential streets wind doesn't usually make any difference as I change directions constantly. can't wait for the ride home!
It's Friday in case anyone forgot.

Didn't ride the bike home today. Something happened half way thru my shift...I was walking, and then I was sitting, instantly, bam, pow, just like that. I got up and walked inside where my mate immediately sat me down. It turns out I was bleeding profusely from a head wound (I wasn't aware of that until then), and I was noticing that my front tooth had gone missing.
They called for Medics and got me patched up. My bride picked me up and we put the Trek in the back of the truck and headed for the Dentist. I've got a temp patch in the gap, a bandage on my head, and a yearning desire to discover what in the heck I walked into.
I'm not sure when the wife will agree that it's safe to ride alone, maybe tomorrow...sigh.

Man, you better check with your physicians as well Lenny to make sure everything is fine with you. Either you lost your balance, trip on something or perhaps blacked out, who knows?

Rode 12.75 miles w/DH on a loop around our area and to the post office and back. We met two other cyclists, one a guy in his 70's on a Roubaix. Had a nice, quick chat but I didn't get their names .
