Raleigh Decals

Are these worth anything on the open market? Back in 1988 I wrote a letter to Raleigh that I was restoring a Competition and was hoping they might be able to supply some decals in order to complete the project. The light blue oblong decals show Carlton. Most of them require varnish to apply. I used what I needed including a 531 decal and this is what remains.

I'd bet that you could get at least $25 on Ebay.

I really wasn't sure. Back in the day it was a little harder finding and getting these, but now with computer graphics it's a whole lot easier to reproduce whatever you need. I thought maybe due to the fact that they were original it might give them some panache'. Maybe a hardcore Raleigh fan might be interested.

The issue that I’ve run into with old decals is that they sometimes become fragile over time. I had a box of Schwinn decals I picked up that I ended up throwing away because they fell apart when I tried to apply them.
