Reliable air pump
My wife bought some cheap tire pump at the local department store and the first time I got a flat 10 miles from home it wouldn't even fill the tire. I need a good quality air pump that I can take along on my 25 mile trips. I want something that doesn't kill you to pump the tire to say 60-70 PSI. I am a recreational biker with a cross bike so I most likely will never have to go to a higher pressure. Who makes a quality pump I can clip to my frame or carry in a small bag?..Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Mine is a Cyclaire

There are two models - I've got the one that does to 120 psi. Takes 3 minutes to inflate a tire to 100psi with minimal effort. It comes with a nice carry case that hangs off the top bar.

I also own and love a Topeak Road Morph. Everyone of my friends that has seen it and recognized how capable it is has immediately wanted one.

Quicker Pro - about 71/4 " long and a little heavier than other mini pumps, but performance makes up for slightly heavier weight.
- about 100 psi for 100 strokes and the effort doesn't increase as much at the higher psi due to the double chamber so 120+ is possible.
- converts between presta and schrader by flipping parts in pump head. Be sure to check since it comes setup for schrader.

There seem to be 2 models of the topeak road morph.... one with an inline pressure gauge and one with a dial type. Is one better than the other?
How about the durability of the Road Morph pump? I have seen so many that are just cheap plastic handles on the pump.

Road Morph
I use a Zefal SP-4 though, it's easy to get to full pressure, so I havent bought the Road Morph, but a Friend has it and it is good.

i jam my thumbs up and back into the tubes. this way i can point my fingers straight out in front to split the wind and attain an even more aero profile, and the usual fixed gear - zen - connectedness feeling through the drivetrain is multiplied ten fold because my thumbs become one with the tubing.
