Need a zipper for cycling jersey

The zipper on my Aerotech jersey came apart in the washing machine and I cannot fix it. My wife is very handy with her sewing machine but we cannot find a zipper. It's a 26" separating white plastic zipper. Any ideas?

Do a search for YKK 26" plastic zipper. I found lots on ebay, etsy, Amazon, etc.
If that doesn't work try going to an alterations shop or a seamstress.

Contact Aerotech.
They have replaced zippers twice for me, at no charge.

Hokie - I do a bit of sewing myself. I've had difficulty finding long zippers too. But, I save zippers. When my wife replaced the sheets and comforter on our bed...that clear plastic package that the comforter came in had a very long zipper on it. I cut it out and saved it. It would be perfect for such a repair.

That's great! But if you can find a zipper and your wife is able to install it, you'll have a spare jersey.

Thanks for the suggestion to keep old zippers. I'll certainly do that! And in fact, had I thought about it, I might have sacrificed another jersey for its zipper to repair this one.
In this case, Aerotech wanted the old jersey returned.

Wanting the old jersey back is a fair trade and request. Good on Areotech! I buy from them often and have had stellar service.

Kind of moot now since your problem is solved, but I've had full length zippers that have lost teeth on them and would no longer work. My wife went to our local JoAnn Fabrics store and was able to find the length we needed in several different colors. I would imagine that almost any fabric store would have them in stock.
