Would you consider a Trek Pilot a hybrid
since it has a more relaxed geometry and was offered in a flat bar version. I really consider it a road bike but according to this thread it is a hybrid

PS: I recently traded a trike for a Pilot 5.2 Sold my Trek FX3. So I'm down to a Specialized Roll as my Hybrid, unless I count the Pilot FWIW I average about 2 mph faster on the Pilot on a 12 mile hilly ride. The Roll is more comfortable and I'm using the same Selle Anatomica H series saddle on both bikes. I found I could just move the seatpost with saddle attached from bike to bike. It ends up nose up just a smidge on the Roll and a tad nose down on the Pilot but feels good on both bikes.

I agree that it was and is a road bike. Very interesting saddle-switching technique: you may be starting a trend!
