Our club is made up of, mostly retirees. Scheduled rides are April - October. Rain cancels. (Nov - Mar , the club turns to hiking, only ice storms cancel). KB

In my area (eastern Iowa), much of the group riding peaks just before RAGBRAI, and gradually tapers off to near-nothing in the middle of winter. The close-knit folks will still meet up throughout the winter, just not on bikes.
