Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was doing good until the last 17 miles had rid into 15 to 20 mph wide was not sure for awhile I would make it. I was riding solo and I could see someone about a mile or so ahead of me and I focused on him until I passed him and really helped me make it.

Very good Anthony you deserve a good meal and yes the Lord does help even those who claim he does not exist. Good time for a solo and like you I cannot find anyone willing to go 100, at least at the time I would like to start. I like to go right at daybreak which now is 5am and be done before you burn most of the day.

I learned that it was the hardest thing I have ever done. Bike riding has taken on a new meaning for me . It is where I can test myself against the most important competitor I have myself. I will never race it is not in me to try to achieve glory for myself but I can improve myself. I will ride for life!

No I ride in Terrebone and Lafourche parishes. Lots of rural highways very few lights and roads are not that busy. I spend alot of time in Baton Rouge with my work.
