not much going on for thanksgiving here in china. no other foreigners (except for thai girlfriend), no other 'merkans here in our little town. we went out to a mongolian BBQ type place with a few colleagues.

no turkey, but we had pigeon soup.

That might actually be pretty good. 🤔 I know I've seen some fat pigeons before, and if it came down to me going hungry or having pigeon, the choice isn't that tough. 🙂

$26 Thanksgiving meal in Pattaya (and store selling pre-cooked Butterball turkeys for 3300 baht !!!). In the USA and Thailand, Thanksgiving is increasingly more about money (Black Friday baby) than "giving thanks" (religions nationally are in decline):

Agreed! Thankfull for the kindness, tolerance, and advice from people in this f​​orum.

Also thankful for the opportunities I have, bikes and places to ride and so much more. Lots to be thankful for!
