Central Mass. Gardner State Forrest
Today was my first visit to Gardner State Forrest right on rte.140 near the Winchendon town line. Wow can't believe some of the trails that are out there, it was such a blast I'll revisit again tomorrow when I have more time to explore.

Round Two was a blast, and it's going to be fun exploring this area throughout the summer.

Where did you find an entrance for these trails? I"ve look around and can't find any maps, trails or routes but would love to go explore out there.

There are two entry points off of route 140 in Gardner. If you are on route 140 heading toward Winchendon they are on your left. The lower entrance is right across from the paved rail trail. The one I've used in a little way up the road and is a little harder to spot. If you want to explore I'd be more than happy to roll out with you. Just leave me a message if you'd like company.

I'm mostly active over on the Classic and Vintage subforum but just found this thread. I moved to Winchendon this past August. Don't have a worthy mountain bike at the moment, but thanks for this.
I "rode" Bemis "road" from Winchendon south towards Gardiner on Friday before the snows came in. It comes out on Stone St. at the south end. It starts as a paved climb, then turns into dirt, then double-track (even with some short sections of 2-5' of "slickrock"). I carried a cyclocross bike for a half-mile or so in the middle before getting back on to finish. But it looked like there were options to the east, as well. I've seen zero documentation of it, but you might want to check it out.
Cheers!
