I hear ya, Siu. I grew up on Mines Road about six miles south of Livermore in the very heart of the golden (read: dry as hell) hills. We had a couple of scares in the years my parents lived there although nothing too serious, thank goodness. But we took the potential danger very seriously, and I well remember becoming very alert when anyone picked up the scent of smoke. I still do, although not as much. I can only imagine that living through Tubbs, Paradise, or any of them gives one a nose sensitive to the point of paranoia to go with the fear and horrible memories. I can only wish everyone peace and recovery - but keep sniffing the wind.
