Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

NBD-Cinelli Vigorelli Road

Just built up a Cinelli Vigorelli Road as a backup bike. Columbus Thron steel frame and a Columbus carbon fork. Built it up with a 105 R7000 groupset, and the Novatec wheels, stem and bars from my Cervelo R3. This is my first full steel road bike (had a Lemond Zurich steel/carbon about 11 years ago) so looking forward to enjoying some long rides on this bike. Definitely a different feel as this frame, at its heart, is a track/crit racer.

Purty purple!

How’s it ride? I have read that the Vigorelli is harsh even in steel due to that crit geometry. Not to say I haven’t lusted over it...

I have ridden about a mile on it. Feels good so far. I’ll let you know after Saturday‘s 50 mile plus ride.

I was about to splurge on a track bike in that color by them for the wife but she vetoed it, wouldn't have minded the same for myself but can't justify another track bike. Love the color and saw that frame as well for some nice prices considering cinelli steel.
