If you have your aero road bike set up like this, you did not need an aero road bike.

I get that we fight wind/air more than gravity - and that it's exponentially more important as speed increases. But, I've got to assume 90% of the drag is caused by the rider... not the bike.

Whoever said it's about "need"? IIRC the age of a typical Bugatti owner is 59, with a car collection of 80+ cars. IOW, certainly not at their peak of physical or mental abilities to handle such a car, but that was never the point.

Maybe the rider of the grey venge in the op's pic is recovering from a back injury? Who cares what someone else decides to do to their ride?
