Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You need to go away. Nothing more pathetic in this world than someone who hangs around a forum just to be an unlikeable troll. What a waste of your life.

I thought you already bought a Madone but it didn't work out because you were too fat to ride it (your words...no insult intended)?

Not that you've done anything wrong to it, I just hate the frame design/shape - back of the top tube is thicker than the downtube and super fat seat stays with a weird kink at the top of them...and I hate, and I mean hate, the font on the bike which isn't doing the chunkiness of the frame any favors. Also not feeling the Pontiac logo on the seat post. And if I really want to get nitpicky, anything with external cable routing is probably going to be an automatic not for me, and just to rub salt in the wound I absolutely hate that style of bottle cage too.

Actually lost weight and only weigh 295. Down from 315 so feeling skinny. It’s my knees hitting my belly is the issue due to the geometry obviously.

So you never actually bought the Madone, that you later claimed to sell at a profit.

Interesting.

No need to be snippy. I don't pretend to be pro or anything of the sort. I'm an old man who enjoys riding bikes. I've posted pics on one of your other threads. Again, just hoping you can get some kind of bike that works for you and give cycling a try. Regular bike, 'bent, e bike, Worksman trike, whatever will work for you and get you on the road. Try it and see if it isn't more fun than trolling on BF!

Took a bit of time for me to figure out its a Mercier. Apparently my eyes arent as good as they once were, or apparently you cant take a pic from the side of the bike. Perhaps its both.
I dont know why the Caddy saddle is featured here, but cool...i guess.

Its a bit of word play/car identification. Merc, like a Mercury. I think they are still in business....hmmm, maybe not. And Cadillac...

I know...its a bit deep.🤣

I didnt know only straight on side view pics were required. No love for bike boom bikes? Go Eddy!
