25", silver, looks to be complete & original. Brooks looks salvageable. Ask is $200 firm. Trying to decide if it's something I 'need' or not..... $200 seems like a good price, though I've (finally) noticed asking prices on stuff in my region coming down considerably.

N + 1

NGS road ensemble seems under rated and receives little attention here on the forum

I have a 1977 ( first year) with Wienman Carrera brakes and Campagnolo GS mech. I got mine in "as new " condition with a Brooks Pro saddle that wasn't broken in yet. The original owner only rode it once or twice then put it away until I bought it from him for $300. That was in 2016 or so and by the time I got there , he had 3-4 other people lined up to buy it. Yes , they are very nice bikes and $200 is a very good price. Mine is the black version and whenever I ride it I seem to get compliments. The concave wheels are hard to polish and the rear derailleur on mine had the cage come loose. When I removed it to repair , I decided to put a NR unit on there and keep the NGS in case I ever sell it . I have never weighed mine but they feel pretty light.

non-fixie reports that a technique which works for him is having a big enough "forest" so that one more "tree" goes unnoticed

Oh, once it’s in the forest it’ll be OK, it’s getting it in there that’ll be tricky… The SO is WFH tomorrow

You don't need it, but you definitely "need" it. Hard to pass for $200.

Almost walked away from it- not in as nice shape as it appeared in the photos. Paint is not bad, but the chrome is in terrible shape. Will see if it's at all salvageable. All the parts that can rust have at least some. A bit of bargaining, and well.... I guess I need to take some photos and start a 'renovation' thread.

Were they still using the Carrera brakes in 1978? For side pull , they really work well. Would love to see some photos .
