Good Vacation spots fer biking?
I live in the desert, which is fine for some bike stuff but often the temperatures make one want to avoid the outdoors altogether. However, I've had a timeshare week in Sedona that hasn't been getting much use lately so I'm thinking of running an exchange for a coastal regional where I can get in some nice riding (not even sure if this is possible, maybe someone can chime in that too). I like So Cal a lot but pretty much anywhere up the coast is nice; ventura, big sur, etc. I like to stick to trails when I ride but it's nice to get a natural feel as well.

I used to see bikers occasionally around Avila Beach, when my family would vacation there. I go up and down around the coast a lot (although not necessarily by bike) so I doubt you could go wrong with any spots there. I will say I know exchanges can be extremely difficult to do, some companies just take your money while your weeks sit in the system. It's better if you find an individual like in the post above who you can work something out with. There's a good info site here, a non-profit, if you want to read more about the inner-workings: https://www.timeshareconsumergroup.org/advocacy.html. My folks were big into timeshares, so... Have you thought about maybe further down, like San Diego? Might be easier to get to from New Mexico.

I have no time shares. But, I'd recommend Sonoma for a cycling vacation. It's got perfect weather, options for hills, flats, and mountain biking, sinful wine and cheese in abundance.
