Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wow...I feel like an antique...

Custom built Bringheli lugged steel frame. Campy mix. Took this picture before the finishing touches (bar tape, etc) were put on.

Just got a new saddle, and cleaned it up for a group ride tomorrow.
and btw, ugly lawn chair is the new white garage door.

But the real star of the show...

First ride with it was 80 miles and my ass only hurt a little, considering the very minimal padding. Specialized Toupé Expert.

Pulled the trigger on my first road bike this morning. Felt great on the first ride today.

ps. Sorry I don't have the white garage door to take the picture in front of...you get our Las Vegas wallpaper instead.

chado, i got the same saddle over the winter. longest ride i've done on it is 30 miles, but i love it so far. first saddle i've had that really feels like it supports my sit bones the way a good saddle should.

Beautiful. Is that a 4.5 frame? Great job putting together that setup.

Just saw that posting...it's a scam! That is not my posting, for those in Austin...WARNING!!! do not meet with that guy because I live in SAN JOSE, CA. Dumbass is asking too low of a price on the Kuota and $1800 for the Orbea with my zipps is a joke. Thanks for the heads up.

I just picked up this frame/fork a couple of days ago. It's a Boulder built Fastback. Built with N'ligtened Platinum tubing, it's pretty freakin' light! I was a bit hesitant at first, as I've tried a compact geometry bike before, and couldn't really get it set up right, but this rides very, very well.

Goodbye DC. You were my first road bike and I enjoyed you so. However, to Craigslist you must go. Let's remain friends, OK?
