Amazing riding weather here in southern New York.

Normally we would still be enjoying freezing temperatures or worse, but 65 F yesterday, and more of the same today and later this week.

Has spring broken out early? I don't know. I never trust a sweet day or two in February as we could spin into a period of cold damp coastal storms just like that -- but certanly getting out there and making the most of it

Here in So Indiana it has been riding weather too. Put 138 miles this week so far. Will be adding to that after work today. I'm sick of the indoor training.

Very strange winter here in Oklahoma. In January we hit a low of 1° and a high of 78°! So far, February has been beautiful, lots of days in the 60s and even 70s, punctuated with cold rain. I even had a 100-mile week in Feb., but then got the flu and riding came screeching to a halt.
I'm starting to wonder what summer is going to look like!

In the mile high city of the Rockies, it is definitely spring riding weather. Winter ??? What is that ??

Also, changed the oil on the lawn mower !!

Same here in Western Wisconsin. I rode in shorts yesterday. No ski goggles! No multiple pairs of gloves! No snowboard helmet!

What's going on? This doesn't feel right...

Between a chest cold on top of my ongoing asthma, I've not been on the bike much in 7 weeks. The chest seems to be mostly cleared out so today I went on a club ride in gorgeous sun and 60F. The rest of the week looks like fine riding also. It's going to hurt building up the legs again but I'm ready.

Just a few weeks ago I had to put the sweater on the dog (something that only happens when it's sub zero) and now I was out in shorts riding my bike. I think everyone who owns a bike in town was out as there were cyclists everywhere, even out in the boonies where I usually go.

The East/West Greenway bike route in Minneapolis was a crowded as a summer day today. Temp was around 60 F. in February. I rode in tights and on my rain bike anyway, but lots of folks were in shorts.

Just looked at the 5 day forecast after todays ride and 70° temp for this week. Wonderful!

Near 70 here today in Chicagoland. Supposed to be in the 60s for a week more.

Nice riding today. Got a late start so only did 25 mi until sunset (then it started to cool down fast!).

The remnants of two (2) blizzards are now melting and we will have four consecutive days over 30 degrees! I'll take my ATB out for short rides, cause it has fenders, but I'm not taking my road bike out till the roads are dry (and the snow-banks are out of the bike lanes)

We puttered around eastern Nassau & western Suffolk for a couple of hours on a tandem, which is always good.

No way is winter finished. But I am over 100 miles for the year as of today, and my out-of-condition legs are complaining.

Crazy weather in RVA also, just makes me worry about summer.

This annoys me because I've lived here and was running and riding my bike in the gutter for years, never saw anyone else out with me.
I wait till dusk to avoid all of the "casuals"

Unable to ride today. All geared up, water bottles filled up with Propel drink, energy bars in my little bag.....went out and went right back in. Wind was gusting 25-30 mph, saw a little dust storm.

Summer ? Will worry when it comes but for now ..... heck loving this winter.....not runnng a snowblower !!!!

Agreed. I fully anticipate at least a couple more major snowstorms, but I have managed nearly 100 miles of decent riding in the past week.

The only thing that sucks about riding on days like this here in coastal southern New England is that the snow piled up alongside the roads is melting and runs onto, and is standing in puddles on the road...which still have significant sand on them. The wet areas can't be avoided. So, even though it's a relatively warm, clear day...the bike looks like crap and has to be completely rinsed off when I finished my ride. Like others have said...I think we still have at least a couple more snow events for the winter. And, in cycling terms, winter hasn't completely passed until after a couple of good springtime gully washers to clear all the sand off the roads.

Tandem -- that means the person on the rear saddle is drafting you, lol!

Super couple of days for riding. I think my previous high bar for Feb was something like "a windless and tolerable 45 degree day"

No doubt about it you folks get a lot of the storms that pass to our north.

There was a lot of snowmelt today on the roads — if that refreezes before it's all gone then there'll be some black ice. But that may not happen as it looks like a week of 40/50/60+ ahead except for tomorrow night.
Of course tons of grit, sand and twigs all over the place, but no complaints unless I get a stick in the spokes .
