Happy birthday and congrats. Looks like my type of riding: light traffic, awesome views, and mixed terrain.

Hey, you've got some nice riding area there. Makes me want to move to Colorado Springs.

Looks just like Central Indiana except completely different.
I like the idea of a downhill run the entire return trip of a ride.

Enjoyed video. Well done! Interesting to see the similarities and differences in geography from where I am. I just wish our roads were dry - the city's snow plows aren't too interested in clearing the snow out of the bike lanes.

Happy birthday. Excellent ride video in some nice country.
I did some riding around Colorado Springs a number of years ago, and I loved it there.
I checked out some of your other videos. Very well done. Not long and boring like a lot of ride videos. short and interesting.
I note however that you have not added tags or descriptions, or enabled comments and it is reflected in the low view counts. I think your videos are worthy of more.

Thanks for the link update. Your fork-mounted rain commute video is intense and beautiful!

My commute to work is downhill in the morning and uphill on the way home, but it is only 9 miles.

Colorado is dry and sunny so the snow melts faster than in the midwest where I grew up. My first snow out here back in 1992 was 4". I took the time to put the cable chains on my Mustang in the morning, and by lunch the snow was gone!

Thank you, Dan, but I have seen what kind of comments are made on Youtube videos. I realize I have the option to review and edit but that would be an overwhelming job. I like to share them here, on Facebook and I email links to non-FB family and friends.

As far as the length...I find I like to view other's unedited bike ride videos when I walk/jog on the treadmill. It makes me feel more like I'm riding. Except when the videos come from places where they drive on the left. That freaks me out.

Great videos! Looks like a couple of different bikes. Maybe a road/commuter and a mountain bike? Especially interesting bar setup on the mountain. May we see pics of the bikes? Thanks!

Well, for non controversial videos such as yours, I don't think you would experience much of a trolling issue. I've had to delete only a few comments on my videos over the years. If a comment is critical in a constructive way, I will let it stand, but I don't get a lot of those.

I have three bikes: a 1997 NIshiki Blazer mountain bike-turned commuter. I developed hand cramping issues in my 40s and padded the hand grips. Then I needed to change hand positions so I added bar-ends, but in-board to approximate "the hoods". Finally I added an aero bar which gives me even more hand positions including the elbow rests, which I can hold for very upright riding, usually when I granny-gear it up a hill. Eventually I will add trek bars or drops. This is now my studded tire snow bike in the winter.

Then I acquired a 1983 Nishiki International OLE edition 12-speed road bike. I went to 700x32 tires for more comfort. I also have two gel seats and handlebar padding. The hoods work well for my hands, but I still mix it up on the bars.

Then two years ago I bought a black Charge Plug. It's a 700x32 steel road-bike, but has a slightly longer-wheel base, but not as long or heavy as, say a Surly LHT or Salsa Vaya. I call it a semi-tourer, but I have seen the terms "distance bike" and "endurance bike". I rode it for two months without handlebar padding, seat padding or tire liners. Sore hands, sore butt and too many flats. So I padded and lined. It is the perfect blend of the other two bikes.

Each bike has its strengths, charms and character, and while I mostly commute on the Plug, I like to mix it up every few days. And in the winter, when it's snowy or icy out I ride the green Blazer which wears studded Suomi/Nokian W106 tires for the season.

Pretty good video and music. Happy Birthday. Next time ride faster so you can get the whole thing in before the batteries die. I do a lot of riding in and around Lafayette CO where #1 son lives. Colorado is bike country for sure.
