Bikes and Wheels for Clydes

I've been reading this forum for many years and really surprised that there isn't a sticky thread in the Clydesdale section for bikes and wheels instead of numerous posts asking similar questions. I am 6'07 tall and it would be so much easier to have a list of bikes for tall riders with the geometry. Another section listing strong wheels with real weight limits for heavy riders would be nice also.

Your right, but what would the members who like to answer posts with assumptions and deviated topics do? It would mess with their ranting routine. Again you're right, would love to see that myself.

hi to all. I tried to copy a link of an article with rather extensive list of road bikes for tall riders some but this is my second post only so I'll leave it to be my 11th post @Fr4nk there are some German brands that produce right size bikes for us (6'7" or 201cm as well) like canyon and rose bikes. you might want to check it out. they are available online. in my case local bike shops do not carry 62+cm bikes so I am thinking of purchasing one road bike with somewhat relaxed geometry (endurance, sporting or whatever the marketing name they put on it)

Wheels always come up, my experience is 36 spokes. I have a cheap set of Mavic touring rims with Deore hubs, they keep going. As far as a bike, I have a Gunnar Crosshairs with their steel fork. Nice tough steel bike. They have large sizes.
I also have a Karate Monkey and a Specialized Fuse 6.
I am 6'1" and 300

I was doing some back and forth a few years ago with a guy around this very topic. He was assembling a very good and comprehensive list of bikes. https://www.bikeforums.net/clydesdal...ck-frames.html

While the list is a few years old now, many of the frames/bikes are still around, or the manufacturers are still making similarly sized bikes as different models.

It's also worth noting that bike fitters that can fit you on a fit bike are far more common these days. You can find out what kind of geometry you need and go straight for the bike(s) that will fit. If you're really tall, there really aren't many options besides full custom unfortunately. I have also found Dirty Sixer bikes to be interesting, and they purely cater for very tall guys. My MTB is too small for me, but nothing else is bigger on the regular market. When a windfall comes my way I'll upgrade to one of Dirty Sixer's suspension bikes. They also make a road oriented bike too.
