You went by my house - depending on which century. There was a blue PMC sign around the corner. I did the 50-miler. Tried to upload the picture of me coming in at Wellesley, but it is a weird file type so BikeForums doesn't like it.

Nice! Which ride? I cross the finish line, pretty tired.

I did the Foxborough 50. My "finish line" photo was in Wellesley (so that was mile 25). Don't know how I managed to smile. 5 seconds earlier, the tears were streaming down my face after riding by the pictures of the Pedal Partners kids. My stupid, cheap bike computer didn't record. So that picture is the only evidence that I did it at all.

You made the ride and that's all that counts! Well done! I stopped at Gillette for my first water stop, which was a nice surprise. By the end of the day, well, I was truly beat. This is my last one, sorry to say. My body says so.

never again for me. The fundraising is harder than the ride. Everyone thinks I'm insane for riding 50 miles. None of my friends are cyclists. Their bikes are Harley Davidsons.

I'm done, as well. And yes, that steep fundraising was part of it. I was on the hook for $3K this year, but made the cut already. This year's ride was hard. The 100 we did on Sunday was a lot harder than the Sturbridge to Bourne ride which is 111 miles. The climbing and rolling hills sunday were just brutal.

Good luck going forward, and don't stop riding!
