The Boa system itself is fine. It was where the lace/cable went through the routing attached to the upper of the shoe where it broke. Very clearly a simple wear issue after years of use. I was told the only solution was to replace the shoe. Also seemed like a great excuse to get some new shoes
The Boa dial mech was actually replaced on these shoes, again I think it just wore out but Boa is very good with their warranty.

Finally order my power pedals after wanting them for a year. My bike finally gets here from Guam on Monday next week and I cannot wait to ride again once I get the pedal fit done and the bike reassembled.

Hehehe yes, me too. Oh, I did get two new Purist 26 Oz bottles and some blue summer gloves. Totally forgot about that in my excitement. My trip to get the bike was quite the adventure over unpaved mountain passes, due to mudslides on the main highway. It was a bit hair-raising at times, but I had the right vehicle for it. Still, it was a 3-hour trip there and a 4 hour trip back. The things we do for bike stuff....

This frame left my stable in 2005. I recently got the chance to buy it back, and it was delivered to me yesterday. It will get rebuilt with Dura Ace 7700 9-speed, same as it had when it was my race bike almost 20 years ago.

Picked up some new tubeless tires (Vitoria Rubino Pro TLR). One of the things I don’t like about tubeless (besides the mess and hassle of mounting) is the limited selection of tires.
I’ve been running the newest Schwalbe Pro One’s but the rear was almost shot after 800 miles.
I run the clincher version of these on my BMC and really like them so I figured I’d give the tubeless version a shot. They weren’t too bad to mount although I did have to use a lever to get them on…..Guess we’ll see how they do on my morning ride

Are you taking about the Pro One Evo Addix? I'm rough on tires and still got 2500-3000 miles per rear tire with those.

Way too much Garmin stuff, Besides getting the head unit and rear radar, enough peripherals to easily move them between bikes by just snapping them off and on.
