This bike is the hotness. Needs another silver bottle cage.

Ah, ok. The anondizing really does hold up to braking, then.

Rims are Mavic Open SUP Ceramic CD. Yup that's the full name. Rear hub is tricolor 600, front is Chorus.
Re: sidewalls - the finish on ceramic rims take longer to wear off than non-ceramic, though the downside is that ceramic rims are known to wear down brake pads quicker.
Also, after switching jobs (and doubling my commute distance), i pretty much stopped riding to work.

Got so flamed over at the build thread. You apparently cant mix modern parts with an old frame or youre automatically a hipster.

Looks good, though throw the original decals back on.

You either buy a flamesuit or campy.

Love it. I was 15 minutes late on scoring the same bike for $35 on CL (needed tlc, as in the wheels needed to be put back on) last weekend.

I like to live vicariously through other people on the internet, and I like seeing modern campy on old frames.

Haha. I read that thread- other than the one guy who was very vocal about his feelings, I think everyone else was mostly respectful and supportive

Yeah I thought it was pretty funny coming from C&V since it's pretty civil over there. I'm with the camp that he should at least re-decal since that's what marks it as something unique. No hate, just an opinion from another classic carbon owner, cuz if I removed my decals it'd look almost identical:

So clean. Hey so, I have an 80's Trek elance 400 that used to be my dad's SF bike when he was in his 30's. It's been in a garage for like 20 years basically. I want to bring it back to life, and I really like the set up you have on the drivetrain here. Did you get a new crankset entirely (If so, what was that process like?) Or did you just removed the other front chainrings?

Dig your bike. Hope to get mine up and running soon!
