Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? This thread started in '14. I'm surprised that there aren't more Kilo TTs in here, for all the people that bought and talked about them.

Whenever I see a Kilo TT, I intentionally don't take a picture of it.

I have never seen anyone riding a Kilo TT or even seen one locked up to a rack before.

Aside from a couple I saw in Manhattan, I have never seen any others either.

I don't think that's the point. Of all the Kilo TTs in the world, I can count the number of times I've seen someone riding one or locked up somewhere in the past 7 years on one hand.

We actually have a 'NO KILO TTS' sign at the shop - just like the 'NO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN' sign at the music store in Wayne's World.

I actually saw a Kilo TT at the track once. Some dude from Dallas was riding it there. Never seen one where I live, but did see a ratty Windsor Hour locked up outside Central Market once. Fixed gear bikes are not popular here, and I have never seen one out on the road.

The most popular fixed gear here is from SE, either the Lager or the Draft. Few local guys on Langsters, and then one guy on an FTP, and my Felt. We kind of stick out like sore thumbs here.

I've seen Windsors in Phoenix, can't remember seeing any Kilos tho.

Everything is a State here, they pretty much own the market.

Very few fixed gear bikes in the Atlanta suburbs.

You may be able to spot a Fuji Feather on the MUP but it is typically a late winter purchase from Performance Bike and the rider is out on the one-and-only ride they will ever do on the bike.

In town is another story but outside the perimeter if you aren't on a SuperSix EVO, Venge or Cervelo S5 then you are nobody.
