Vintage or Replica??

This bike is for sale in my area. Is this a vintage bike or a replica? I found this site that looks similar to the one for sale.
Antique Replicas: Gentlemen's Roadster - Rideable Bicycle Replicas

The seller is now second guessing his first thoughts of this bike

You showed everything but the headbadge. Is the bike a Flying Pigeon? There are bikes like this that are recent examples of machines that have been produced by the same company for decades, like the Raleigh Tourist was. Hard to tell the newest from the oldest in some cases.

There's something on the head tube of that bike. Ask the seller for a closeup.

But it doesn't look like this.

But to your original point, I think that this bike, while it might not be 50 years old, is of more or less recent production by a company that's been making the same thing for a looong time.

It's recent production. Looks decent enough bike if one wants a rod brake roadster and isn't set on it necessarily being a Raleigh DL-1.

Do beware that some of these knockoffs sometimes need cold-setting, or have misaligned fork blades.

First two-cent impression: "Vintage" Flying Pigeon... Is it really heavy like a tank? Is the quality just ok or exceptional? More FPs made in China than McDonalds hamburgers served over there... Ok, slight exaggeration.

Spare yourself the grief and hold out for a Raleigh if you want to go this route.

crank arms are wildly out of registration

if you purchase the cycle that should be the first order of business

I find it difficult to consider anything that's definitely newer than the 1980's as "vintage."
