Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It has to be done on certain bike tours. But I hate going more than 2 nights without all mod cons.

Never bell train a Jack Russel Terrorist, you just become their door man.
Same with our Havanese. One night I ripped the bell off the wall. Wife asked what I was doing. I asked if she preferred I strangled her pup.

Yeah, Mrs. GeneJockey thought it would be a great idea to do that for Dory, our little dog of unknown heritage. And now Mrs. GJ finds she's Dory's Doorman.

Worse, Rango has figured it out, but he uses it as a general method for getting attention, like if he wants fed.

A 68 with the side markers removed? I suppose that's more likely than a 67 with 68 windows.

Kurust has arrived. Says to work in well-ventilated area, which doesn't describe my garage with its one door. P'rhaps when Mrs. GeneJockey has gone to bed, I can work in the kitchen.......

modifications may have been done or used available parts that were not "era" correct. I'm not an expert I'm too young.

It appears to be a 68. I'm no expert on that stuff, despite working on cars for a while.
A friend in the bike club knows all that stuff and he's an accountant.

Now that the bell is gone, ours stands by the door and barks when -

1. She needs to go out to pee/poop,
2. She wants Togo out to bark at something,
3. She wants attention, or
4. She smells a cat.

We never know what. It’s a pita.

Liability insurance for the trainees is the only real answer. We already have a nonprofit which buys health insurance for them. In the meantime, I will try to get the postdocs converted to FTEs, but that’s a long, hard, process.

Ironically, this Camaro discussion has been taking place on thread pages 67 and 68.

Ironic?

Same. When I broke a tent pole in the early 90s, I decided that's it, done and out. It was pointed out to me that I could just buy new tent poles and all would be well. I offered the tent to the person and they declined so the tent is now in a landfill somewhere.
