Further Fleet Reduction
Hello all...I am moving into the next phase of reducing my fleet. I have two bikes and a frame that I need help on pricing...
First up...1978 Schwinn Volare...a rare breed...but...with a hiccup...it has a ding on the top tube...will include a couple pics of it. First, the specs...
Seat tube (CTC) - 62 cm (although it rides smaller to me)
Seat tube (CTT) - 63 cm
Top tube (CTC) - 59 cm
Head tube - 7.75"
Rear gap - 120 mm
Reynolds 531 Steel
Full Shimano Dura Ace groupo with the exception of the rear derailleur, which is a Crane (yeah, I know, one year before they branded it Dura Ace); SR Sakae stem and handlebars; Brooks B5N saddle; Shimano Dura Ace hubs with Rigida alloy rims (700C)
Next up...a 1976 Schwinn Superior...
Seat tube (CTC) - 58 cm
Seat tube (CTT) - 59 cm

Yeah, I'm thinking that Gazelle really has no value and you should probably just give it to the first person responding to this thread.

Your almost too honest I know a lot of sellers flippers that could fill in and touch up over the ding in the Volore so you would not notice it unless it was pointed out. As for value I would say $500 for the volore with most of the value in the parts about $400 maybe more if you peiced them out. The Superior is a bit of a sleeper about nicest true American fillet brazed bike of 60's or 70's so in it's great condition I would say $500, I would likely keep this one and sell something else. For the frame it has great paint nice finish and its 531 but lesser desired maker so $150 or so maybe bit more to the right buyer online here or on ebay, if you would do international shipping.

Yeppers...that is what I thought...the Gazelle is really not that nice to look at, is not made from good steel...and I probably overpaid for it...so...giving it away would be the right answer...but...I was thinking I would give it away to the LAST person to respond to this thread...maybe that way, I can get a thread that has 100's of replies!
