One issue I realized today will be a problematic attachment of Ortlieb ultimate bar bag to Jones loop bar.

Anyone done it?

How well do you think the geometry of a Surly Disc Trucker would work as a flat-bar bike?

I truly believe that a satisfactory fit can be achieved with nearly bike frame by fiddling with seat, seatpost, H-bars, and stem. This is predicated by your knowledge of your ideal crank length as well, but not as serious as the fit you'll get from stem and seatpost heights and lengths.

FWIW, the Surly Truckers are famous for ride comfort. I doubt that you could find much of anything wrong with fitting flat bars to one.

I think most SKS fenders are actually plastic bonded aluminum/copper material which makes them much more crack proof than pure plastic. I certainly haven't been able to break any of mine.

The reach would be too close for me. Plus I'd be forced into 26" wheels along with it. It's not a bike I have any interest in whatsoever.

Does anybody know if it a Burly trailer hitch can fit the drop out? I'm looking to replace my hybrid that I tow a Nomad with and so far the flat bar Marrakesh is on my short list.

what are the grips you have on your Jones bar? We just ordered a pair of Salsa flatbar Marrakeshes and want to add the Jones bars and I like your brown grips. Thanks!
