This is why SRAM sucks
You can't buy a rival 22 hydraulic left shifter by itself with no caliper. There is no sku for it. So say you have a crash and you break your left shifter but brakes are fine sucks for you because you buying a whole set to replace one thing.

@gus6464 might be right about a Rival hydraulic left shifter not available as a separate part.
Page 19 of the SRAM spare parts catalog doesn't list a Rival "Exchange" shifter.

It lists Apex, Force and Red but I don't see Rival.
Maybe buy an Apex or Force? Or buy the kit linked by @Elvo and sell the caliper?

Don't you see how dumb this is? They obviously make the thing so why not sell it separately? I can go to Shimano or Campy and buy every single part of their groupsets as a standalone. Why is this so difficult for SRAM?

Do you have any local bike shops that carry SRAM? The company has been fighting against web sales of their products.
I'd try talking to your bike shop and see if they can acquire crash replacement parts.

So looks like the cheapest option is to buy the rival 22 hydraulic rim brake combo sku and just throw that hydro rim caliper in the trash I guess.

Yeah, just go to a bike shop, they can get anything you need. SRAM doesn't like selling direct.
To me, the real reason to dislike SRAM is their seemingly constant stream of questionable engineering and resulting quality problems or recalls. I've personally fallen foul of a spontaneously broken Rival 1 shift lever, two failed master cylinders in Guide RS brakes and two prematurely leaking Rockshox seals on a Bluto. I've also seen many failed Zipp rear hubs, but I don't own them.
The one upside: SRAM is pretty great to deal with from a customer service perspective. My brakes were quickly replaced for free without question, as was the lever. The shock was also rebuilt for a small charge. I don't like SRAM's hydraulic brake feel, but their drivetrains are pretty awesome.

I can't get into the quality of the new items as all of my stuff is older mechanical 10 speed but I had an accident and busted the paddle off of a couple year old trigger shifter and called SRAM to see if I could buy a replacement paddle. They told me to take it to a bike shop and have them contact their warranty department, I did and was sent a replacement set of shifters free as a warranty claim even though the break was due to a crash that was admittedly my fault.
