It's a scooter. No pedals that I can see. Without pedals, it doesn't qualify as a ebike in Canada.

You will be walking when the battery runs down after 50 km, if you even get 50 km. You will not get 50 km when it's cold, like today.

Are those allowed on bike paths/lanes in Canada?

Don't know about CA, but in CA(lifornia) pretty sure you need a license and insurance for it and not allowed on bike paths.

there are bikes like that where you can remove the pedals, but I don't see any provision for a crank on that one. Now I'm getting a safety warning on the link.

I think the OP would be better off with a conversion kit

sorry, I killed the link because it's giving warnings.

We don't talk about escooters here anyway. There needs to be at least some possibility of human power. I'm just leaving this thread for a bit and then I'm deleting it.

I don't recall any warnings, but I think my browser probably refused to go to the link in the original post, as I don't see it in my history.

What I did see in my history is a yahoo search for the Emmo factory link, and then that link. So I must have done that. After reading the above, I submitted the Emmo factory link to a test service and they said it was clean.
