Interesting new (to me) way to crash

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not as tired as I am of this pain all over my body. It felt fairly tight to me. One thing's for sure though. I'm definitely going to tighten the everloving crap out of it in all future cases.

Ok, it was an Aluminum Velocity skewer. Velocity is replacing my rim for free for this incident, and i'm switching to steel campy skewers.

Well, you're starting the season kinda late, you know. I think last year by that time you were already like 2 or 3 crashes ahead

Unfortunate. Not as bad as the youtube crash though, that looked like a horrible impact.

I think my injuries are actually worse from this one. That other guy took a lot of my energy from the Evanston crash, but in this one, it was all the road.

As far as I know, he walked away with no serious injuries.

Vertical or horizontal dropouts? I don't have nearly enough power to pull a wheel all the way out, but I did mildly misalign one in my horizontal dropout bike.

One of the myriad of reasons why I dislike horizontal dropouts.

Not my bike, but same frame:

Yes, I truly am a beast or something.
