Saw some overmitts in an unexpected place
I've been trying to find large mitts that will fit over top of my wool gloves for a few years with no luck.
Yesterday I was in a golf store with my brother and they had some one size fits all "cart mitts" designed to go over golf gloves while walking between shots. They look like they might work so I'll have to go back and test them out.
Titleist Cart Mitts @ Golf Town Limited
I'd still like to find a plain unlined shell purely for wind blocking.

A few years ago I picked up a pair of these mittens at the expo for a (running) road race I was in.

The inner mitten is made of fleece. The "seperateable" outer shell is thin, and is windproof and water resistant. And they work pretty well. Using just the outer when it's in the 30s my hands will sweat. I haven't used them on the bike (I have Pearl iZumi lobster gloves)...so I don't know how they'd work for cycling. But, on their website they have a cycling line of gear. You might be able to find something there.

Good luck.

A few years ago I took an old pair of ski gloves in which the insulated lining had packed out and no longer provided mush warmth and cut out the insulation. They then made fine wind proof over gloves for cold weather riding. Some very expensive gloves have removable linings. Campmor has a good selection of gloves. Have a look. https://www.campmor.com/c/s/clothing...s/gloves-mitts
