Interest in Merckx panto'd Super Record?
I do not want to clean up and take pics of this stuff. Brazen Dropouts' weather kept this from going "on a table."
I'm not going to go to the trouble to clean and wipe down each piece if there's not much interest.
I considered just scrubbing off the paint, using it on an '85 Cinelli, but the pantograph is engraved.
Off of a 1985 "Professional." Pantographed Super Record group.
I re-fit the frame/fork with DA 7700, kept the Campy headset, and flew it at Hilly Hundred.
Good to excellent condition, not much wear. This bike belonged to C&V legend bigbossman .
Panto'd items, engraved "Eddy Merckx" and painted:
3TTT stem 110mm quill.
SR brake levers (need new Justines hoods)
SR seat post fluted 27.2
SR friction shift levers (painted in Belgium colors and panto'd)
SR chain rings
pedal straps (white leather, gold lettered "Eddy Merckx")
Non-panto'd items:
SR FD
SR RD
SR crankset 170, I believe
SR bottom bracket (most likely, they all look alike to me)
SR hubs with the world champion stripes laced to exc condition Mavic (clinchers).
SR brake calipers complete
I also have the white Ti-railed Selle Italia Flite leather saddle in good shape.
I also have a Campy headset, in steel or alloy, since I kept the SR on the bike.

At least a single group shot would create buzz for buyers.
Or at least a price for the whole enchilada.

If the price is right, maybe interested in the non-panto bits.

I’m interested in the brakes.
I have an ‘85 Professional but it has 1st gen C Record. Otherwise I’d be interested in the enchilada.

OK, I'm back.
Ben had to wake me up.
I'll shake loose some time, get to the storage unit and take pics and come up with pricing.
It appears there is interest.

The thread is viable.
I had a buyer for the entire group, and he backed out, lost his job to overseas mergers.
Lacking interest, I solicited interestd in pieces.
I absolutely prefer the group sale.

Whatever. The group was packed up for Brazen Dropouts, then put into storage across town. I work here in Evansville 5 days/week and spend weekends in St. Louis. If you wanted my phone number, you could have asked. My threads are not ruses, so it's a moot point, and, just to clearly communicate, all the way, with a red hot poker, ...Sir.

Go with the Mavic SSC group way nicer than the Campy super record and much lighter.

Interest came up in the group, and I was busy, not generally camping here.
It went sour and he wouldn't have gotten them in any case.
A successful trade ensued, which saved me time and money, as well as the other party.
And so it goes. I failed to see a PM, made a separate deal, and picked up 2 ignores.
Life is short, ride a bike, and Cheney to you.
