ya.

I make two formulations, a high conc (50%) that I clean the drivetrain with using a brush,

and a low conc (~20%) in a bucket with one of those big auto sponges that fill cracks and holes

This stuff works the best, costs about the same, but smells a lot more deadly than the stuff above as a trade-off:

I'll make sure to pick some up when in finish up the stuff I got. Thank you for the recommendation 😀👊🏽

That Purple stuff is gnarly, don't get it on you undiluted, even then, be careful. Same formula as Castrol SuperClean, and that **** unclogs drains.

Citrus is definitely the way to go.

I need to pick up some of that citrus degreaser. My drivetrain is a greasy, chunky mess.

I use the same stuff for stripping the base on my board before I put on new wax. It works great, and who doesn't want to smell like oranges?

I have witnessed first hand, somebody break one of those el cheapo bell chainbreakers from walmart clean in half trying to break a 710.
I've got a Rivoli and just ordered a 710SL, so sounds like I'm on the right track. Now getting the mushroom-ended pin back in, is that just as much of a chore?

While it's possible, it's not advised by the maker KMC. Just use the supplied master link as intended.

Just ordered the KMC 710SL, a set of anodized Fyxation bar end plugs, and a set of carbon fiber headset/stem spacers.

i always used to just use boiling hot water and salt, they act like little scrubbers and theres no chemicals at all

and by water and salt i mean a lot. like 1:1 ratio. kosher or seasalt is best because of the large grain size

By far the best cleaner i've ever used is "oil eaters" -- Its along the lines of simple green but a little stronger. It's non-toxic, non-corrosive and non-hazardous all while having a decent scent that isnt over powering. Highly recommended

I'm sure it was just a mistake but still.

Yep, this is what I usually do for the items I clean frequently, but the stuff that's been sitting around for awhile, I just throw them in the Zep cleaner overnight. Then I pour the zep back in the bottle and reuse it. I've had the same bottle for a couple of years now. It looks pretty gross but still does the job.

I agree. My wife and I summer vacation in Michigan's U.P., specifically, Lake Gogebic. I've taken up cycling but my wife is a walker. she worried about me riding up there along Rt 64 and Rt 28 until she saw how bright and visible this taillight was, even in broad daylight, at least 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. I use an equally visible front light (both pulsing) all the time. Yes, perhaps an overly cautious newbie.
