Yeah, when we got our tandem a little over 20 years ago, we tried the 90 degree offset idea. We didn't notice any major difference. Neither pic above depicts a 90 degree offset, although it's likely that with the most recent pic, at least they took a stab at it.

We did the same on our Gitane tandem. Probably not enough power from these two riders. Also, one mechanic working alone with the BB eccentric to get the chain tension right was almost certain to get the clocking off by a degree or two.

It's not "kickstand bell," it's "kick stand bell." Much more complicated...and expensive.

7. speed. kick. stand. bell.

Is that a new dance move? Kinda like the Macarena but while riding a bike?

2 Gravel Bikes, 1 Street Bike, and a Good Time - $2200 (Madison)

image 1 of 8

Not for kids or sissies. You breathe on the peddles and your front wheel is up and dropping panties, go ask your mom she’ll tell ya. I suggest you wear your helmet so you don’t end up like Superman. Take a chance and hit those gravel roads so you can turn those twigs you call legs into something the ladies might actually like about you. Yes, it’s a gravel bike…you don’t have to mix gas, all you have to worry about is kicking ass. Ever wonder what it feels like to be Michael J. Fox, well, look no further than these bikes because if you get too far off-road, it will shake your arms off. Low on testosterone because your wife stole your dignity and sense of being a man again? Well, this is your opportunity to go in her purse and get your testicles back that you never should have given up in the first place. These bikes will not help you build “him and her” time together while exercising too, they will do the same thing to your relationship that it did to mine….cause constant fusing and *****ing because “you're going too fast” and at the end of the ride, you’ll fight the whole way home like we did too. You won't find a better deal than this….like you won't find a woman that cooks AND cleans too. You should buy these bikes.

Bike 1 (him):
• Giant
• Grey
• Helmet Included
• Cell Phone Holder

Bike 2 (her):
• Giant
• Black/Red
• Helmet Included
• Cell Phone Holder

Bike 3 (whoever):
• White
• Foot Holders

Thule Bike Rack for Hitch
• Locks
• Straps
• Thule

Altogether, you're looking at over $4,000 worth of awesomeness. All of this can be yours for $2,200 of your hard-earned cash. I guarantee you sweaty days, a better feeling body, healthier heart, and $2,200 less in your bank account if you buy these bikes.

This is probably the best ad copy I've read in years. The psychology behind it will probably get these bikes sold! Thanks for adding this, TripleCrank

I think this copy was plagiarized from an ad we've seen here previously.

Must be popular. Here's a Jeep ad on CL with the text adapted.

^^^^^^ So what's the common pathogen among all the sellers who adapt this text, that they can't do it without at least one glaring spelling/usage error?

And the forum bot starred out that community name? Whiskey Tango?

I figure it's because that particular character string is slang for "aboriginal" and is deemed racist or the like. But I could be mistaken.

True delusion. Pricing above MSRP and trying to justify it with inflation. "priced to appreciate and continue to care for" oof.

Trek 7900 Multi-Track - 23" alum. frame - $920 (Mpls.)

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/h...088554375.html

Original Trek Multi-Track 7900. One owner, rarely ridden. Like New 'showroom' condition and that's not hyperbole.
Clean as new, too; there's no muck, no yuck, no grime, nor rust.

Make: Trek - Model: 7900 - Model Year: 1991 ( made in the USA) - M$RP: $859 + ( that's $1627 in today's dollars).

Frame: 23" aluminum. - Top tube 22¾" - Seat tube 23" - Stand over 34".
Fork: Cro-Moly.

Gears/Speeds: 21 ( 3 x 7) trigger shift.

Tires: 700 x 40, matching Matrix Crew Cut. Presta valve.
Wheels: True, 32 hole w/stainless steel spokes.
Rims: Matrix Titan Tour.

Color: Red w/White alphanumerics.
Not needy at all, it's ready to roll.

Price is firm, $920. Not for everyone; priced to appreciate and continue to care for.

OK - can anyone tell me the story with this? Colnagos can be faked and all but this one seems almost too weird to be fake, if that makes sense. And I've definitely seen RDV Colnagos but never with this double downtube design from the Bitubo(?)

Vintage Colnago, labeled “Roger DeVleaminck” cross bike - $700

https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...085220854.html

Rare Colnago cyclocross Bike labeled “Roger DeVleaminck ” after the famous cyclocross/Paris-Roubaix star. Campagnolo 10 speed components. Campagnolo Vento wheels. Aluminum frame and fork. Rare double down tube design.
Frame measures
Seat tube 58cm
Top tube 58cm

Has signs from usual wear and tear, but in otherwise excellent condition

May has well used the hi-rise bars from the 60s!. I remember people doing that way back then.
OR get a larger frame.

Looks like a Vitus Aluminum frame which I've seen them use it for Colnago but not a split down tube unless its a Colnago Ti-frame

I really doubt it's aluminum, or even a real Colnago, but that's very much a case where I'd love to buy it if I could blow several hundred bucks just to figure out what the hell that thing is.

Never mind! After some more searching, it's a Colnago Dual CX, and it's an aluminum frame designed by Alan.

Does make me wonder if the RDV decals are someone's addition, though
