Who is a subscriber to Electric Bike Action Magazine?
The cover of the mag I saw advertised had a top headline "Power is Definitely Not an Issue"
Cover also included a pic of a knarly full susp Ducati mtb bike.
The pic in the ad showed a guy cutting deep donuts on a beach with a suspended fat bike.
edit: Post intended to be sort of a roadie survey - not intended to be incendiary.
No doubt - the future of adult cycling is powered.

I'm not sure how many lines there are to read between in this statement.
My worry is you think there aren't any...
Or your whole post is facetious and I'm just not seeing the joke.

It was at the bottom of the post. Not intended to be a final conclusion.
edit: after all, looking at my list of bikes, there's nothing with an 'e' in front of it.

OK..this "dedicated roadie enthusiast" thinks posing a survey of dedicated roadie interest in a minor e-bike rag is a bit of an oxymoron.
Personally have no issues..well..few issues..with e-bikes, but we seem to have a regular series of e-bike posts in decidedly non-ebike forums..simply due to non-ebike forums having considerably more traffic than the ebike forum. If someone is interested in ebikes..there's a forum for that. Perhaps the target audience is better reached by posting on the ebike forum asking how many roadies subscribe.... Or if the publisher has a broader demographic interest..ask the ebike forum in general how many subscribe to the magazine.

I got Bike for almost a decade as a gift from my dad starting around 1997. It was easily mt favorite of the magazines. There was humor, great articles, quirky editors, etc.

No interest in eBikes here. Human muscle power is a big part of what attracts me to cycling. Road bikes are just the right mix of efficiency, handing, capability, and good looks. A heavy motor and battery ruins everything for me.

Sad. Bike was, for the longest time, the most literate/quirkily excellent cycling publication available. All going ... soon gone, I'm afraid.
However, if you are interested, Minnigh is now editor at Freehub. While also a quarterly, its content has improved dramatically over the past couple issues.

Yes. Every issue since '02 here. They are now down to a quarterly, as you say, because ostensibly upping their 'web presence'. The decline began with the departure of Brice Minnigh.

The recent shift from 8 issues to 4 happened when they were bought out by the company that owns National Enquirer.

Your two lines here contradict each other.
Because if it's powered then it's not a bicycle, it's an electric moped. The entire point of cycling as an athletic sport is that it's human powered. Motor assist bikes are great for transportation and helping those who are mobility challenged, but when I go out for a ride for fun I want to just do it with my legs alone. The moment I contemplate adding a motor then I start asking myself, "why don't I just ride a motorcycle?" I'd go a bunch faster and further after all.
