Who got super-mooned?!

With clear skies forecast, I'd hoped to get an early morning ride under the gorgeous super moon. But since my road bike is out for a warranty issue, I went for a run instead. Wow, was it awesome! Some of the streets in my neighborhood are poorly lit, but the super moon really took care of that problem and helped me keep a quick pace because I didn't have to worry about missing cracks, stones, and acorns (yes, we've got some that are almost fist size that are an ankle's worst nightmare).

Looking forward to round 2 tomorrow morning for which I may ride the mountain bike.

Anyone else have a pleasant super moon exercise experience to share?

Well, I wasn't riding, but I was outside doing sled push-pulls, a fitness ladder routine, kettlebells, and a TRX routine last night between 5:30 and 6:30, and it was a beautiful moonrise.

Geez Dave, I said pleasant experience to share. I don't even know what most of the things you mentioned are, but I'm guessing you had to view the moonrise through some sweat in your eyes!

I did. I was up around 3:23PST (purely by coinicidence). I thought it was going to be really big like a harvest moon, but it appeared a lot smaller than that. It was super bright, though. I heard a rooster crowing in the distance. Poor thing must have been confused!

well, yeah ... but I wouldn't do it if I didn't like it ... well, the results anyway.

I rarely have a workout, either on my own or with my PT, when I don't think "WHY do I do this to myself?" But, it passes!

Tonight is my night to ride.

I was at the school riding with my son when the moon came up over the trees. It was incredibly big when it first appeared, but within 45 minutes it unfortunately wasn't anymore. Still gave enough light at first that we didnt have to pack up right as the sun went down like we had planned. While we were packing up, two cars came in the lot one after the other to stop and take photos.

I got to watch it keep "shrinking" as i sat in traffic for 30-ish minutes trying to go a quarter mile

I turned into a werewolf and went tearing through the misty moors, howling at the super moon.

I was out mtn biking in the woods but totally forgot about the super moon about 30mins after it got dark. It was still pitch black in the woods without our lights.

That breaks a bit of a rule of mine....I don't do any exercise I don't enjoy, regardless of results. Life is too short.

I quit trying to run or go to the gym years ago lol!

Saw it as I walked out the door to work, very pretty, and bright.

I went for a run under the glow of the supermoon. I go for a full moon run just about every month.
