Just Gonna Drop This Out Here...Richard Sachs Content
After many years of looking, finally found an early production Richard Sachs frame in my size. Long story about obtaining it, but finalized in a middle of the night meeting in a hotel lobby. Shipped it directly to Jack at Franklin Frames, who did an exceptional job (no surprise!) of recreating the iconic early Sachs paint scheme using original decals obtained from Richard. Components are Shimano Dura Ace 7400 six speed...with a few conceits that observant C&V'ers will likely suss out.
The ride is, as expected, sublime and relatively fast, even with the 30mm Vittoria tires. O Loop in 1:55:15, pretty good for 32 miles (actually anything under 2 hours on that hilly training route is pretty stellar).

You have let some very nice bikes move on to others in the past. I would like to be considered first if ever you part with this one. With some lifestyle changes oh my part, perhaps I will live long enough. An framed 8x10 of the rear dropouts would be fantastic.

I would have liked this multiple times if the only option weren't to unlike and re-like as I wouldn't unlike this. Let's just say a Richard Sachs frame can give you a pretty stiff downtube

Or are they the cushioned tape, clipless pedals and wireless computer?

The FD is indeed a 70 series Shimano 'cross unit. Very versatile, great for shifting unusual ring combinations. Actually slightly finicky when it comes to trim in this application, so may go back to a nice clamp 7400 FD in the future. Why that FD?
Bercause of the chainring combination- it's a 48/34. Wait, how do you put a 34 inner ring on a Dura Ace 7400 130 BCD crankset? Why, you start with a 6206 triple crank (same design aesthetic but 110/110/74) and send it over to forum member Stephen Needle in England. He milled it down, polished it up to a mirror finish, and pantographed the Dura Ace logos:
But there's more. Discuss!

As for the DA conceits, thinking the rear hub may be for a 7 or 8 speed?
