Almost did my first century on a whim
Today I went out for what was intended to be a 40 mile ride. I came well prepared with 5hr Energies, Gu, lots of water, Clif bars and fruit. Well into the ride I was feeling so good I decided to change my route to what I knew was 60 miles then changed it again to 75.
THEN I felt it was time to call it a day as my body told me that euphoria was going to come to a very quick end if I kept going, but I don’t mind as I learned a lot about what my body needs for a ride like that.
Im surprisingly not as sore as expected nor as tired. I’ve been training to do a century for a few months but the fires in my area brought that to a halt with all the smoke. I think I should be ready by end of October!
Feeling good at 60 !

Great ride. Definitely listen to your body during the ride. I'm sure you'll be able to hit 100 the next time.
