Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

With a tractor it would have been too easy. We had a tractor though, mostly for mowing.

Keeping a brewery open is tough work. Wife and I made friends with the owner of a place around the corner from our house and they’re struggling right now, despite being able to stay open. They had to close their taproom and go to growlers and crowlers only (they didn’t have a canning operation), now they’re doing online orders only. We hit them up once a week to support their business. They’re good people so I hope they stay afloat.

I listened to 'Grievous Angel' this morning. Emmylou Harris' first album appearance iirc.

I think it's because they're needy, gotta interact with somebody even if their life is at stake. smfh

I only go to the market that has ample self checkouts now days, to avoid jerks getting too close to me.

I'm sure that being out of the house and wanting to linger is a part of it, for some, but I think that another big factor is that a lot of people that didn't didn't cook much are now cooking (or trying) a lot more. I see so many more people with that lost look on their faces every time I go.

I don't have any pre-op pics except x-rays. Next time my wife has to dress it (weekend), I might get a pic. Pretty ugly. I have to keep it wrapped full time, except to change the wrap every two days. And I'm pretty paranoid about leaving it open long, infection wise

I guess I could photograph the x-rays showing the pin, if you want to see that. Stitches come out a week from tomorrow, supposedly. Prolly not so ugly after that.

Daughter is volunteering in full PPE at a Cov-2 testing station in an airplane hangar in Galway, just to get out of the house. They are limited to a 2 km radius of home by decree, otherwise.
